Privacy policy
Effective October 13, 2026
This policy explains what information TwinSource Power Systems, Inc. ("TwinSource", "we", "us") collects through twinsource.net, how we use it and the choices you have. We make transfer switches, and we collect only what we need to answer your questions, quote our products and support the equipment you own. It applies to visitors wherever they are.
Who we are
TwinSource Power Systems, Inc., 117 N Main St, Batesville, IN 47006, USA. Questions or requests about this policy or your information: privacy@twinsource.net or (440) 248-6800.
Information you give us
When you send a quote request or a contact message, we receive what you enter in the form:
- Your name, company, email address and, if you choose to give it, your phone number.
- Details of your request: the products, ratings and quantities you select, the application, timing, project or site name, delivery country, and any notes or message.
- Whether you ticked the box to receive product news by email.
- The page you sent the form from, and the date and time.
We do not ask for payment details or other sensitive personal information. Please do not include it in the free-text fields.
Information collected automatically
This site does not use cookies or advertising trackers.
Our hosting provider records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These server logs are used to keep the site secure and running.
We measure how the site is used with Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused service that counts visits without cookies and without collecting personal information. It reports totals, such as how many people viewed a page or sent a quote request, and does not identify individual visitors.
How we use your information
- To answer your request, prepare quotations and provide technical support and service.
- To keep a record of our communications with customers and prospects.
- To send occasional product news, only if you asked for it.
- To understand which pages are useful, and to protect the site against misuse and keep it running.
- To meet our legal obligations.
Where the law requires a legal basis for using personal information, we rely on: taking the steps you ask for before a possible contract, or our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries; your consent, for product news; our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the site and keeping business records; and compliance with our legal obligations.
Product news by email
We send product news only to people who tick the box on our forms. The box is never pre-ticked, and sending a quote or contact request does not sign you up.
We keep a record of your consent: your email address, the date and time, the form you used and the wording you agreed to, and later any request to unsubscribe.
Every product email includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also email privacy@twinsource.net with "unsubscribe" in the subject. We act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Service providers handle information on our behalf and under our instructions:
- Netlify, which hosts this website and receives the forms. Netlify screens form submissions for spam using Akismet, an automated spam-filtering service.
- Microsoft, which provides our email and business systems, including the software we use to manage customer relationships.
- Plausible Analytics, which receives the anonymous visit counts described above.
We may share your request with a TwinSource sales representative or distributor in your region so that they can answer it. They are required to keep it confidential and to use it only for that purpose.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.
Where your information is processed
TwinSource is based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored mainly in the United States. Our service providers may process it in other countries; Plausible Analytics, for example, runs in the European Union. If you contact us from another country, your information will be transferred to the United States for the purposes in this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep quote and contact requests for about three years after our last substantive exchange with you.
If a request becomes an opportunity, an order, a warranty matter or part of a customer record, we keep it for as long as our business-records schedule requires, generally about seven years.
We stop sending product news as soon as you unsubscribe, and keep only the record needed to honor that choice.
How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to form submissions is limited to TwinSource staff who need it to answer requests. No system is completely secure, so please do not send information through the forms that you would not send by email.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can withdraw your consent to product emails at any time. Email privacy@twinsource.net and we will respond within the time the law allows.
Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law, such as the right to object to or restrict some uses of your information, or to complain to a data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Children
Our website is intended for business and professional users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
New features and other websites
If we add features from other companies to this site, such as maps, videos or chat, we will review them and update this policy before they go live. Links to other websites are covered by those websites' own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
